There coffee is excellent. Once I was turned on to Dark Matter there was no looking back. And I am new to coffee. Lol

Tip for all you Dark Matter fans, if you are going to buy a fresh bag of DM Coffee, buy it at the Mothership, you will thank me later.

On the recommendation of my son who goes here to work and drink coffee, we stopped here after having a late brunch. He wanted to stop and pick up some coffee beans and said Dark Matter was good but was going to settle for Aldo so he wouldn't have to spend as much. Feeling like more coffee was going to be good for all of us, I said we should go here and I'd buy him a pound.

The store is quaint, with lots of art on the walls, some cute novelties like coffee mugs, caps, and other assorted items. While there, we each did order coffee and I chose an espresso. One of their offerings as an "aged" espresso which sounded interested. Coffees come up fast, but espresso drinks come from the bar so it did take a few minutes.

I tasted some of the coffees from the rest of our party and they were very good. The espresso, being aged, had a bit of a funky taste - sour to some degree but not in a bad way.

They have a small but diverse selection of beans to choose from. We got an espresso blend to take home (not the aged one) which we're looking forward to trying.

Fun place. You should go if you're in the area.

I was in the city visiting friends and wanted to find some unique coffee shops. This location was a bit of a hike for me, but SUPER worth it. Funky vibe and friendly, helpful staff.
I almost always go for mochas, but this time I asked if they had any special recommendations... why not be exciting‽ I tried the barrel-aged mocha which had this really interesting, "whisky" feeling. The barrel-aging gave a distinct, but balanced flavor. Highly recommend.

Barrel aged coffee is totally out of this world! Tiny busy artisan coffee place with incredibly unique flavors, smells, and meticulous creations. The product is more than five stars, the space is a little too cramped to hang out or even relax but super magical in a dirty bizarre artistic way.

So I usually head to Star lounge as it's closer, and they serve Dark Matter Coffee, however, the parking situation sucks! Soooo I kept driving and ended up stopping by this location in hopes of getting my usual Star lounge drink at this location. Well, the drink wasn't on the menu but the barista knew how to make it and had all the ingredients! I was ecstatic! Another reason to love this place!!
